She didn’t have a train which was really a shame because it would have been another $40 but Bessie said Sandra might anyway want to dye the dress and wear it on another occasion and then they would have to cut the train off so it wasn’t worth it. I have to say that Sandra looked very nice even so. Before the ceremony they had appetizers a very nice spread with whitefish, and Nova, they paid $3.95 a person, after the ceremony we sat down to a regular dinner, with roast beef or chicken, seltzer and sodas, schnapps, all you wanted $5.95 a person. Sandra’s going away suit was pale blue, which she wore with matching shoes, very nice, $35 but I think beige would have been better. I wore my green silk, which I paid for $48.50 in Klein’s which it’s worth it because I get a lot of wear from it. Oscar wanted to wear his brown suit but I told him blue was better and for once he listened and we bought him a blue suit very dark $60 but he’ll have it for a long time and if he ever needs a black suit he can wear it instead.
